SIB (System Information Block) : Access Barring

The document describes the different System Information Blocks (SIBs) that are broadcast by the eNodeB in LTE networks. SIB1 contains cell access and scheduling information. SIB2 contains access barring and random access parameters. Additional SIBs contain information for intra-frequency and inter-frequency cell reselection, neighboring cells in other RATs like UMTS and GSM, emergency alert systems, MBMS configuration, and WLAN interworking. There are over 15 different SIBs that provide essential system-level information to user equipment on the network.
