It is also advisable to
have a system wherein the staffs are aware as to who to contact if they
need any clarification on the services provided.
Remark(s): The patient’s registration and assessment process is
designed to give priority to those who are obviously sick or those with
urgent needs.
c. A unique identification number is generated at the end of
registration.
Interpretation: The Panchakarma Clinic shall ensure that every patient
gets a unique number which is generated at the end of registration of
the first interaction that the patient has with the Panchakarma Clinic.
This number shall be used for identification of the patients across the
Panchakarma Clinic and to ensure continuity of care across the
Panchakarma Clinic. All Panchakarma Clinic records of the patients shall
have this number. “Unique” implies that this is a one-time affair. Please
note that a particular patient can have only one unique number.
d. The staff is aware of these processes.
Interpretation: All the staff handling these activities should be oriented
to these policies and procedures. Orientation can be provided by
documentation/ training.
