USER MANUAL OF THE SOFTWARE

1. When you use this software for the first time, you should install the driver, once you install it

successfully you don’t need to install it again next time. The procedures are on the below:

a. Open , double-click ,and then enter to the

driver-setup interface.

b. Click the INSTALL button to finish installation.

Remark:Support ME/2000/XP/Server 2003/VISTA/Server 2008/Win7 32 bits/64 bits

2. How to use the software:

a. Connect the Optical Power Meter and The PC with USB cable, and then turn on the

Optical Power Meter.

b. Double click to open software interface.


c. Choose language .

d. Choose the COM port.

After choose the correct COM port, click the OPEN COM button

This means the COM port is OK.

Click CONNECT, and then will appear prompt ,this means OPM is
successfully connected to the PC.
3. To process data through this software.
e. After connect the OPM and the PC, click button, you can transmit

the data saved in the OPM to the PC.

f. means: Delete all the data saved in the OPM.

g. , means: save the data as EXCEL format.

3. , Enter relevant information in the blank space, and they will be saved together with data.

4. Time Setting

This OPM has built- in clock to record test time during data storage. The built-in time is set as

standard Beijing time, if you need revise the time, you can enter the corresponding time and

click “TIME SET”. Time setting is finished After noted SETTING SUCESSFUL.

5. User- Calibration of OPM

All of our OPMs are calibrated according to Shanghai Institute of Measurement and Testing

Technology. So our OPM have the user-recalibration function. You can recalibrate the OPM

according to your standard by yourself through the software.

1.When recalibrate the OPM, connect the Light source with known power to the Optical

Power Meter, and fill in this out-power, then click “POWER CALIBRATE”.

2. Before you recalibrate the OPM, you should confirm the

out-power of the Optical Light Source and also you should confirm all the connectors and

the test patch cords are clean, otherwise it may cause errors. You also can click “RESET”
button return to the factory setting.

.6. Disconnect the port

When you want to disconnect the port, only need click “EXIT”, and then unplug the USB cable.
