XXXXX has had a positive start to Kindergarten this year. He/She has an enthusiastic and endearing attitude in
class and toward school. XXXXX shows her/his feelings and emotions in appropriate ways. She/he is respectful of
people and materials in the school community and her/his friendly, cheerful nature has allowed her/him to develop
friendships with her/his classmates. XXXXX plays constructively with others and she/he solves problems in peaceful
ways.
This term the following topics were covered: printing and recognizing names, Apples, patterning, 2-D shapes,
seasonal activities, colours, number recognition from 1 to 10, classroom and school rules, routines and expectations,
emotions and feelings, introduction to alphabetic knowledge and introductory movement and simple games in gym.
XXXXX is within the widely held expectations for Kindergarten and he/she is PROFICIENT in knowledge, skills,
strategies and processes consistently in all curricular areas.

Encourage XXXXXX to practice counting and measuring using everyday objects (e.g. measuring ingredients for
a recipe).
Encourage XXXXXX to play with hi/hers classmates outside of school to help him/her further develop his social
skills.
