NARRATIVE REPORT IN SCHOOL REPORT CARD (SRC) 2017

School Report Card (SRC) is one of core components of the School-Based

Management thrust of the Department of Education (DepEd). The objective of the SRC is to
increase community participation and involvement in school operations and activities by
providing your stakeholders a snapshot of the status of the school and advocating for areas
that need their involvement. It is recommended that the reporting of the SRC to stakeholders
should be done at least twice in a school year: during midyear and yearend.
West Central School present and discuss the SRC to our parents in the leadership of
our school principal Mr. Daniel C. Abaoag – Principal IV with the help of the Faculty and
Staff of our school.
The SRC has three parts: 1) school profile which include the enrollment, health and
nutritional status, learners materials, teachers’ professional development, funding sources and
school awards and recognitions; 2) performance indicators measuring aspects of access,
quality, and governance include the number and rate of dropouts by cause, percentage of
learners who completed the school year, National Achievement Test (NAT), Mean Percentage
Score (MPS), Literacy level, School-Based Management Assessment Level, Child-Friendly
School Survey result, Stakeholders’ participation, learner-teacher ratio, learner-classroom
ratio, learner-toilet ratio, and learner-seat ratio; and 3) status of school projects include status
of Annual Improvement Plan (AIP), Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and Other
stakeholders/ accomplishments. A mix of quantitative and qualitative data is reported to
provide the stakeholders of the school, context, and performance.
The said events are successfully done because the parents, PTA officers and
community are fully participating and very supportive.
