ATC21S MOOC Course Progression

This document outlines the progression of levels in developing skills for teaching 21st century skills through a MOOC course. It shows the progression from levels 1 to 5 in five strands: 1) Understanding 21st century skills, 2) Developmental teaching and learning, 3) Teaching and assessing collaborative problem solving, 4) Learning in a MOOC, and 5) Reflecting on teaching 21st century skills. At level 1, students develop an awareness, at level 2 build knowledge, level 3 develop understanding, level 4 apply and analyze concepts, and at level 5 design practical applications. The overall progression moves from developing awareness to creating plans to teach 21st century skills using developmental principles.
