The first 3 digits of this value indicate how the ActiveX control should
be installed based on their signature. The first digit is for Trusted
ActiveX controls, the second digit is for Signed ActiveX controls, and
the third digit is for unsigned ActiveX controls. Possible values are as
follows:
• 0—Do not install
• 1—Prompt user to install
• 2—Silently install
9

One of the following Internet Explorer settings for Trusted Sites must be
true:
• Download Signed ActiveX Controls is set to Enabled.
• Download Signed ActiveX Controls is set to Prompt and Automatic
Prompting For ActiveX Controls is set to Enabled.
Per-User Deployments
A user with elevated permissions (for example, an Administrator on a
machine where UAC (User Account Control) has been disabled, or any user
who has used a UAC-related tool to elevate themselves) cannot install a
per-user deployment. This is by design in Vista, because the potential for a
user with elevated permissions to execute code from a low-security location
(for example, Registry’s HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive) is viewed as a
security risk.

Neighborhood Help. new profiles in Hummingbird Neighborhood.
18
Chapter 1: Deploying Hummingbird Connectivity Products
The profile types that appear in the tree depend on the type of project you
select to deploy. For example, a Hummingbird FTP project displays only
FTP profiles.
19

Note: The options that appear on this page depend on the type of
project you are deploying.
On this page, you can also specify a Profile Space as the default and select
one or more terminal types to support.

By default, the HTML code looks for image files in the Images folder. If
you specify a virtual directory in the Image Vir tual Directory box, the
HTML code is modified to point to that location, thereby eliminating
the need to manually edit each HTML file to update the image location.
If you specify a virtual directory, make sure to transfer image files from
the project destination directory to the specified folder on the Web
server.

When you are finished, the wizard places the index file in the output
directory you specify. You can then move this file to a Web server directory.
38
Chapter 1: Deploying Hummingbird Connectivity Products
2 In the Index Page Destination Directory box, specify (or browse to) the
directory in which you want to place the index file.
The index page output directory can be either the same directory or
the parent directory of the output directory for the associated
deployment project(s).
You must copy the generated files, as well as any image files you are
including, from the destination directory specified here to the appropriate
Web server directory before you distribute the URL to end users.
39
Hummingbird Deployment Wizard User’s Guide
Click Build to create the HTML index. Based on your specifications, the
wizard generates a Web page, which includes a link to each deployment
project you selected. The generated HTML file is saved to the output folder
that you specified.
40
Chapter 1: Deploying Hummingbird Connectivity Products
41
Hummingbird Deployment Wizard User’s Guide
For both deployment and index projects, all generated files are placed in the
output folder that you specify in Project Destination Directory. After the
project is built, you must copy or FTP all of the generated files from these
output folders to a Web server directory, making sure to preserve the
directory structure.
42
Chapter 1: Deploying Hummingbird Connectivity Products
For example, if you create two deployment projects, and you include both
projects on the index page, the generated files for the index and for both
projects must be in the same output directory.
When moving files to the Web server directory, make sure you include all of
the following:
• the Packages folder, including all package assembly files that are
deployed to the end user’s PC
• the HTML folder, which contains generated Web pages
• the Images folder, which contains any image files included in the
project
• the generated Web pages (MyProject.htm(s)and MyIndex.htm)
For example, if you create a deployment project named YearEnd for the
Finance department of your company, and you place the project output
files in the PROJ\Finance directory on a server named WebServer, you would
distribute the following URL to end users in the Finance department:
http://WebServer/PROJ/Finance/YearEnd.htm

deployed. Typically, you should select this option for COM or ActiveX
objects. For all other types of items, clear this option.

contents of an existing Deployment Package. For each item, the name of the
file, the destination directory path, and the source directory path appears.

Hummingbird Deployment Deployment Package using Deployment Packager. For more information,
Packager Help. see Generating Deployment Packages.
The file name, version, date, and size of each item contained in the package
appear in the Hummingbird Deployment Packager window.
