ABOUT T.JOHN GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS

The year was 1993 when T. John College with its premises in Campbell Road, Austin Town,
Bangalore – 47 begun. The college started by Dr. Thomas P John, with liberal aid from his father Mr. T. John
who is Ex-Minister of State for Infrastructure Development and Aviation, Government of Karnataka, offered a
3 year BHM (Hotel Management) Degree course to 24 students. The college also offered the BBM and BSc
(CMS) courses. Since a humble beginning in 1993, there has been no looking back and every year the college
crosses new milestones. A decade later the college premises has expanded to include new departments and
blocks and spread over an area of 20 acres of land donated by Mr. T. John. Cosmopolitan and secular in ethos
and philosophy, T. John College attracts students from all over India and the neighboring countries, especially
Sri Lanka. The college is governed by a governing Board, the Chairman being Dr. Thomas P. John the son of
the founder Mr. T. John. The other members of this governing Board are high-profile industrialists, financiers,
entrepreneurs and renowned academicians.

ABOUT TIMS

T. John Institute of Management & Science (TIMS) was established under the aegis of T. John
Group of Institutions in the year 2004-05 for promoting professional education. By now, TIMS has acquired a
distinctive position among the premier management institutes in India. With a 20-Acre-Campus of green
unpolluted environment located on Bannerghatta Main Road, adjacent to the NICE expressway, TIMS
provides an ideal ambience for study as well as research. The institute is committed to focus on academic
excellence and continuous character building of students to develop them as responsible citizens and industry-
ready human capitals for the globalized business world. At present, TIMS offers both under graduate and post
graduate programs. The MBA offered here is affiliated to Bangalore University and duly approved by All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The under graduate courses run in TIMS viz. BBA and
B.Com are affiliated to Bangalore University. TIMS is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation
Council (NAAC).
 ABOUT IMPULSE: AN INTER-COLLEGIATE FEST

At TIMS Bangalore, various events are conducted to uncover the hidden potential of students in
organizing events. Impulse is a management, cultural and sports fest organized and which invites various
colleges in and around Bangalore. It provides an opportunity to the students to explore themselves to the outer
world while engaging in various activities of it. The events conducted in Impulse are creative and interesting
which provides scope for learning with experience. Impulse was a huge success in the previous year as
students identified their own talents and showcased it in front of everyone boldly. The event also provides
them a platform to develop organizational skills and leadership qualities.

Impulse 2K19 presented by T.John Institute of Management & Science consists of a variety of

GENERAL RULES

1. It is a team event. A team can have 8-12

2. Time limit for every team would be 8-10 minutes
3. Theme selection is open to the team.
4. Background Score is optional.
5. Teams should carry their tracks in Pen drives/CD.
6. Vulgarity is strongly prohibited.
7. Use of any unfair means is strongly prohibited (cigarettes, alcohol, flames etc.).
8. Teams will be judged on costumes, theme, walking stance, Timing and attitude.

GENERAL RULES

1. Time limit: 4+1 minutes

2. Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing
3. The participants will be judged on the song selection, voice quality, clarity,rhythm and
their appeal to the audience.
4. The participants should bring their own musical instruments or karaoke if required for
the performance.
5. Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or
derogatory language.

EVENT- BEAT BOXING

GENERAL RULES

1. The event is open to beat boxers only. No instruments are permitted; only sounds
made using the human anatomy.
2. Beat boxers will be given three (3) minutes to showcase.
3. Competitors should be alert near the battle area at the beginning of the proceedings.
Failure to arrive on stage when called up will result in disqualification.
4. There will be three rounds.

2. The photographs must be in original pixel size. Must be in JPEG format with high
quality compression.
3. Only single exposure and single frame pictures will be accepted.
4. The content of a picture must not be altered by adding, re-arranging, reversing,
distorting or removing people and/or objects from within the frame.
5. You are required to provide a unique title and description for each image submitted.
6. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content
including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or any other contents
deemed to be contrary to the law, religious cultural and moral traditions and practices
of India are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
