COURSE SYLLABUS IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE 1

Course Description:

This course Deals with the concepts and principles in the provision of basic
health care in terms of health promotion, health maintenance and disease prevention at
the individual and family level.

Code No. : PHC 1


No. of Weeks : 18 weeks
Course Credit Units : 4units lecture, 3 units RLE
Pre-Requisite : -

General Objectives:

At the end of the course the student will demonstrate beginning skills in providing
basic health care in terms of promotion and maintenance of health and prevention of
illness at the individual and family level guided by the health care process.
