NARRATIVE REPORT ON CAMPUS JOURNALISM

School Year 2015-2016 was yet another prolific year for Cateel Central Elementary

Advisers, Mrs. Imelda P. Losentes, Mrs. Dina E. Apale, Mrs. Ingrid D. Tranquilan and Mrs.

Positive goals equate responsibilities. Responsibilities equate hard work. Driven by the

school paper advisers along with the campus journalists commit themselves to its trainings

Mandayas were more than proud not just because of the success that the school
publication had brought but because of the privilege given to the Cateelenos to host the
Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2016. The Provincial Governor, Corazon N.
Malanyaon burst her feeling of gratitude for the trust given to her province, Davao Oriental
and her hometown, Cateel to first time host which to her the biggest event Cateel, even Davao
Oriental had ever hosted. The delegates from 10 divisions of Region XI were likewise grateful
for having accepted the challenge. They enjoyed the Mandayan culture and were mesmerized
by the beauty of Aliwagwag Falls, the pride of Cateelenos.
RSPC is believed to be the “Battle of the Bests”, enough reason to be proud of even
for a fact that we are one of the participants of the event, what more if we hit a spot on it.
Gwen Dorothy Gift O. Flores, one of our campus journalists, ranked fifth in Feature
Writing- English.
Our vision continues that years onward our school publication would remain
established along with a goal that we would do the best we can to finally participate in the
National Schools Press Conference.
