7:1 ‫ֹאמר‬
ֶ ‫וַּי‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ְלנ ַֹח‬ ‫ּב ֹא‬ ‫ְוכָ ל אַ ָּתה ־‬ ‫ית ־‬
ְ ‫ֵּב‬ ‫ַה ֵּת ָבה ־ אֶ ל‬
1
. And the LORD said unto
u·iamr ieue l·nch ba - athe u·kl - bith·k al - e·thbe Noah, Come thou and all
and·he-is-saying Yahweh to·Noah come-you ! you and·all-of household-of·you to the·ark thy house into the ark; for
thee have I seen righteous
‫ִּכי‬ ‫א ְֹת ־‬ ‫יתי‬
ִ ‫ָר ִא‬ ‫צַ ִּדיק‬ ‫ְלפָ נַי‬ ‫ַּבּדר‬ ‫ַהּזֶה‬ : before me in this
generation.
ki - ath·k raithi tzdiq l·phn·i b·dur e·ze :
that »·you I-see righteous to·faces-of·me in·the·generation the·this

7:2 ‫ִמּכֹל‬ ‫ַה ְּב ֵה ָמה‬ ‫הרה‬

ָ ‫ַה ְּט‬ ‫ִּת ַּקח‬ ‫ְל ־‬ ‫ִאיׁש ִׁש ְבעָ ה ִׁש ְבעָ ה‬ ‫ְו ִא ְׁשּת‬

Of every clean beast thou
m·kl e·beme e·teure thqch - l·k shboe shboe aish u·ashth·u shalt take to thee by sevens,
from·every-of the·beast the·clean you-shall-take to·you seven seven man and·woman-of·him the male and his female:
and of beasts that [are] not
‫ּומן‬
ִ ‫ַה ְּב ֵה ָמה ־‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ל ֹא‬ ‫ְׁשנַיִ ם ִהוא ְטה ָֹרה‬ ‫ִאיׁש‬ ‫ְו ִא ְׁשּת‬ : clean by two, the male and
his female.

7:3 ‫ּגַם‬ ‫ֵמעף‬ ‫ַהּׁשָ ַמיִ ם‬ ‫זָכָ ר ִׁש ְבעָ ה ִׁש ְבעָ ה‬ ‫ּונְ ֵק ָבה‬ ‫ְל ַחּית‬ ‫ז ֶַרע‬ ‫־ עַ ל‬

Of fowls also of the air by
gm m·ouph e·shmim shboe shboe zkr u·nqbe l·chiuth zro ol - sevens, the male and the
moreover from·flyer-of the·heavens seven seven male and·female to·to-mkeep-alive seed on female; to keep seed alive
upon the face of all the
‫ְּפנֵי‬ ‫כָ ל‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־‬ : earth.

7:4 ‫ִּכי‬ ‫ְלי ִָמים‬ ‫עד‬ ‫אָ נ ִֹכי ִׁש ְבעָ ה‬ ‫ַמ ְמ ִטיר‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ים אַ ְר ָּב ִעים‬ ‫ְואַ ְר ָּב ִעים‬ ‫לָ יְ לָ ה‬

For yet seven days, and I

will I destroy from off the

face of the earth.

7:5 ‫ַוּיַעַ ׂש‬ ‫נ ַֹח‬ ‫ְּככֹל‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ִצּוָהּו ־‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ :

. And Noah did according
u·iosh nch k·kl ashr - tzu·eu ieue : unto all that the LORD
and·he-is-doing Noah as·all which he-minstructed·him Yahweh commanded him.

7:6 ‫ְונ ַֹח‬ ‫ֶּבן‬ ‫ׁשֵ ׁש ־‬ ‫ֵמאת‬ ‫ׁשָ נָה‬ ‫ְו ַה ַּמּבּול‬ ‫ָהיָה‬ ‫ַמיִ ם‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־ עַ ל‬ :

And Noah [was] six

and·Noah son-of six-of hundreds year and·the·deluge he-became waters on the·earth flood of waters was upon
the earth.
7:7 ‫ַוּיָב ֹא‬ ‫נ ַֹח‬ ‫ּובנָיו‬
ָ ‫ְו ִא ְׁשּת‬ ‫ּונְ ׁשֵ י‬ ‫ָבנָיו ־‬ ‫ִאּת‬

And Noah went in, and
u·iba nch u·bni·u u·ashth·u u·nshi - bni·u ath·u his sons, and his wife, and
and·he-is-entering Noah and·sons-of·him and·woman-of·him and·women-of sons-of·him with·him his sons'wives with him,
into the ark, because of the
‫ַה ֵּת ָבה ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫ִמ ְּפנֵי‬ ‫ֵמי‬ ‫ַה ַּמּבּול‬ : waters of the flood.

ִ ‫ַה ְּב ֵה ָמה ־‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫אֵ י ֶנּנָה‬ ‫ּומן ְטה ָֹרה‬
ִ ‫־‬

Of clean beasts, and of
mn - e·beme e·teure u·mn - e·beme ashr ainn·e tere u·mn - beasts that [are] not clean,
from the·beast the·clean and·from the·beast which there-is-no·her clean and·from and of fowls, and of every
thing that creepeth upon the
‫ָהעף‬ ‫ְוכֹל‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ר ֵמׂש ־‬
ֹ ‫ָהא ֲָד ָמה ־ עַ ל‬ : earth,

the·flyer and·all which moving on the·ground

7:9 ‫ׁשנַיִ ם‬
ְ ‫ְׁשנַיִ ם‬ ‫ָּבאּו‬ ‫נ ַֹח ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫ַה ֵּת ָבה ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫זָכָ ר‬ ‫ּונְ ֵק ָבה‬ ‫ּכַ אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ִצּוָה‬ ‫הים‬4ֱ
ִ ‫א‬

There went in two and
shnim shnim bau al - nch al - e·thbe zkr u·nqbe k·ashr tzue aleim two unto Noah into the ark,
two two they-came to Noah to the·ark male and·female as·which he-minstructed Elohim the male and the female, as
God had commanded Noah.

And it came to pass after

. In the six hundredth

all the fountains of the great

7:12 ‫וַיְ ִהי‬ ‫ַהּגֶׁשֶ ם‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ים אַ ְר ָּב ִעים‬ ‫ְואַ ְר ָּב ִעים‬ ‫ לָ יְ לָ ה‬:

And the rain was upon

7:13 ‫ְּבעֶ צֶ ם‬ ‫ַהּים‬ ‫ַהּזֶה‬ ‫ָּבא‬ ‫נ ַֹח‬ ‫ְוׁשֵ ם‬ ‫ְו ָחם ־‬ ‫ָויֶפֶ ת‬ ‫ְּבנֵי‬ ‫נ ַֹח ־‬

. In the selfsame day

ְ ‫נְ ׁשֵ י‬ ‫ָבנָיו ־‬ ‫ִא ָּתם‬ ‫ַה ֵּת ָבה ־ אֶ ל‬ : wife, and the three wives of
his sons with them, into the

ark;
and·woman-of Noah and·three-of women-of sons-of·him with·them to the·ark

7:14 ‫ּמה‬
ָ ‫ֵה‬ ‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫ַה ַחּיָה ־‬ ‫ְל ִמינָּה‬ ‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫ַה ְּב ֵה ָמה ־‬ ‫ְל ִמינָּה‬

They, and every beast
eme u·kl - e·chie l·min·e u·kl - e·beme l·min·e after his kind, and all the
they and·every-of the·animal for·species-of·her and·every-of the·beast for·species-of·her cattle after their kind, and
every creeping thing that
‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫ָה ֶר ֶמׂש ־‬ ‫ר ֵמׂש‬
ֹ ‫ָה‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ְל ִמינֵהּו‬ ‫ְוכָ ל‬ ‫־‬ creepeth upon the earth
after his kind, and every
u·kl - e·rmsh e·rmsh ol - e·artz l·min·eu u·kl -
fowl after his kind, every
and·every-of the·moving-animal the·one-moving on the·earth for·species-of·him and·every-of
bird of every sort.
‫ָהעף‬ ‫ְל ִמינֵהּו‬ ‫ּכֹל‬ ‫ִצּפר‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ ּכָ נָף ־‬:

the·flyer for·species-of·him every-of bird-of every-of wing

7:15 ‫ַו ָּיבֹאּו‬ ‫נ ַֹח ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫ַה ֵּת ָבה ־ אֶ ל‬ ‫ְׁשנַיִ ם‬ ‫ְׁשנַיִ ם‬ ‫ִמּכָ ל‬ ‫ַה ָּבׂשָ ר ־‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ּב ־‬

And they went in unto
u·ibau al - nch al - e·thbe shnim shnim m·kl - e·bshr ashr - b·u Noah into the ark, two and
and·they-are-coming to Noah to the·ark two two from·all-of the·flesh which in·him two of all flesh, wherein [is]
the breath of life.

7:16 ‫ּב ִאים‬

ָ ‫ְו ַה‬ ‫זָכָ ר‬ ‫ּונְ ֵק ָבה‬ ‫ִמּכָ ל‬ ‫ָּבׂשָ ר ־‬ ‫ָּבאּו‬ ‫ּכַ אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ִצּוָה‬

And they that went in,
u·e·baim zkr u·nqbe m·kl - bshr bau k·ashr tzue went in male and female of
and·the·ones-entering male and·female from·all-of flesh they-came as·which he-minstructed all flesh, as God had
commanded him: and the
‫אֹת‬ ‫הים‬4ֱ
ִ ‫וַּיִ ְסּגֹר א‬ ‫יְ הוָה‬ ‫ַּבעֲד‬ : LORD shut him in.

. And the flood was forty

up the ark, and it was lift up
‫וַּיִ ְׂשאּו‬ ‫ַה ֵּת ָבה ־ אֶ ת‬ ‫ַּת ָרם‬
ָ ‫ו‬ ‫ֵמעַ ל‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ‬ : above the earth.

And the waters

earth; and the ark went
: ֶ‫ַּתל‬
ֵ ‫ו‬ ‫ַה ֵּת ָבה‬ ‫ְּפנֵי ־ עַ ל‬ ‫ַה ָּמיִ ם‬ : upon the face of the waters.

7:19 ‫ּמיִ ם‬
ַ ‫ְו ַה‬ ‫ּג ְָברּו‬ ‫ְמאֹד‬ ‫ְמאֹד‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־ עַ ל‬

And the waters prevailed
u·e·mim gbru mad mad ol - e·artz exceedingly upon the earth;
and·the·waters they-have-the-mastery exceedingly exceedingly on the·earth and all the high hills, that
[were] under the whole
‫וַיְ כֻ ּסּו‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫ֶה ָה ִרים ־‬ ‫ֹהים‬
ִ ‫ַהּגְ ב‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ַּת ַחת ־‬ ‫ּכָ ל‬ ‫־‬ heaven, were covered.

ֲ ‫עֶ ְׂש ֵרה‬ ‫אַ ָּמה‬ ‫ִמ ְל ַמ ְעלָ ה‬ ‫ּג ְָברּו‬ ‫ַה ָּמיִ ם‬

Fifteen cubits upward
chmsh oshre ame m·l·mol·e gbru e·mim did the waters prevail; and
five-of ten-of cubit from·to·up·ward they-had-the-mastery the·waters the mountains were
covered.
‫וַיְ כֻ ּסּו‬ ‫ֶה ָה ִרים‬ :

. And all flesh died that

upon the earth, and every

7:22 ‫ּכֹל‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫נִ ְׁש ַמת‬ ‫רּוח ־‬

ַ ‫ַחּיִ ים‬ ‫ְּבאַ ּפָ יו‬ ‫ִמּכֹל‬ ‫אֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ֶּב ָח ָר ָבה‬

All in whose nostrils
kl ashr nshmth - ruch chiim b·aphi·u m·kl ashr b·chrbe [was] the breath of life, of
all which breath-of spirit-of lives in·nostrils-of·him from·all which in·the·drained-area all that [was] in the dry
[land], died.

And every living
u·imch ath - kl - e·iqum ashr ol - phni e·adme substance was destroyed
and·he-is-wiping-off » every-of the·risen-thing which on surfaces-of the·ground which was upon the face of
the ground, both man, and
‫ֵמאָ ָדם‬ ‫עַ ד‬ ‫עַ ד ְּב ֵה ָמה ־‬ ‫ֶר ֶמׂש ־‬ ‫ְועַ ד‬ ‫עף ־‬ ‫ַהּׁשָ ַמיִ ם‬ cattle, and the creeping
things, and the fowl of the
m·adm od - beme od - rmsh u·od - ouph e·shmim
heaven; and they were
from·human unto beast unto moving-animal and·unto flyer-of the·heavens
destroyed from the earth:
and Noah only remained
‫וַּיִ ָּמחּו‬ ‫ִמן‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־‬ ‫וַיִ ּׁשָ אֶ ר‬ : ַ‫נ ַֹח ־ א‬ ‫ַואֲׁשֶ ר‬ ‫ִאּת‬ [alive], and they that [were]
u·imchu mn - e·artz u·ishar ak - nch u·ashr ath·u with him in the ark.
and·they-are-being-wiped-off from the·earth and·he-is-nremaining yea Noah and·whom with·him

‫ַּב ֵּת ָבה‬ :

7:24 ‫וַּיִ גְ ְּברּו‬ ‫ַה ַּמיִ ם‬ ‫עַ ל‬ ‫ָהאָ ֶרץ ־‬ ‫ח ִמ ִּׁשים‬

ְ ‫ ים‬:

And the waters prevailed
u·igbru e·mim ol - e·artz chmshim u·math ium : upon the earth an hundred
and·they-are-having-the-mastery the·waters over the·earth fifty and·hundred-of day and fifty days.
