Internship Reflection

Over the course of my senior year, I was fortunate to have the

opportunity to observe the life of a medical assistant. Medicine has been

one of my major field interest growing up. I also have always been

interested in working with infants, children, and families. Through my

internship I was able to witness their work ethic and how their regular

schedule looks like. This opportunity has allowed me to experience

first-hand in the work field. I am extremely grateful for being able to shadow

open, kind, and helpful people. I learned many things about naturopathy

medicine, prenatal care and homebirth. I also learned about each person

who works in the medical center. Everyone was very kind and professional.

I was able to get an insight on the career I plan on pursuing. One of the

most valuable experience for me was being able to be involved in the

circumcision appointments, I was able to observe how they operate the

procedure. I was surprised by how fast the procedure was done on the

infants. Overall, I will never forget this wonderful experience, i’m incredibly

excited for what the future hold for me and my career. I’m prepared to be a

helping hand for others.
