Project Management Plan
The “Detective Eye” is designed to help the people so they could drive smoothly without any
hesitation. This device will enable them to avoid a diverse variety of obstacles like walls,
speed bumps, cars, other human beings or animals in some cases, list does not end here rather
it is so smartly designed that it can also detect pit-holes, main holes, and diggings so the user
could save his life. One of the main problems observed in Pakistan is, under age driving,
where children drive bikes or cars at high speed and cause potential threat to the person in
dark climate or weather conditions. So our team came with an innovative idea to illuminate
the “Detective Eye” with LEDs using a technological solution that continuously scans and
when dark is detected, precautionary measures are automatically adopted.
Project Organization
The basic organization is provided in figure that is given below. The project sponsor
Muhammad Umar will have the final authority on major decisions after consulting with
project steering committee and the project champion Farooq Ather. The project sponsor will
review important project information timely and provide feedback to the project manager.
The project manager will report to the sponsor and the team leaders. The supplier project
manager will report to the project manager.

The following individuals comprise the business case analysis team. They are
responsible for the analysis and creation of the DE Project business case.
Management Processes
1. Management Review Process: The project steering committee will meet on weekly
basis to provide inputs and review progress of project.
2. Progress Measurement Process: The project steering committee will review project
progress during project review meetings and they can also review information as needed
by viewing reports on the enterprise project management software system. Earned value
data will be provided on this project and available on weekly or daily basis in the system.
Post-project progress will also be measured to see if the project met its goals. These
goals includes reducing the ratio of accidents, to make safe driving and so on.
3. Change Approval Process: Conduct meetings by “Change Control Board” & see
attachment no.1 based on corporate standard
Technical Processes
1. Enterprise Project Management Software: All tasks, cost, resources, issues and risk
will be traced for this project using our enterprise project management software. Data
must be entered on at least weekly basis to provide updated information.
2. Project Evaluation: The project team will coordinate with the organization for the
evaluation of project and related risk with the project.
3. Productivity Improvement: The project management team will work with the finance
and quality assurance departments to develop and implement a system to measure
improvements in performance of vehicles, market share and goodwill of the
organization.
Work to be performed
The Detective Eye will be manufactured by configuring ultrasonic Sensor, infrared radiation.
Sensor, LDR and etc. After manufacture this device the IT team will install the device into
vehicle and the performance will check and finally it will represent. You can see WBS, Scope
statement and other related documents for further detail.
Purchasing: All components will be purchased for DE system that is require for
vehicle and tested by the IT development group.
Installation: IT group members will put the DE device into the car.
Inspection: IT group will check its performance whether it is working well or not.
The entire project will complete within almost two months whereas project completion date
is May 12, 2019.See the project schedule and time management documents for further details.

The following are the major project milestones identified at this time. As the project
planning moves forward and the schedule is developed, the milestones and their target
completion dates will be modified, adjusted, and finalized as necessary to establish the
baseline schedule.

Based on the cost mentioned above we see that by authorizing the DE Project, organization
will bear cost once and get benefit more times. This represents a significant improvement in
our operating costs and is a clear indicator of the benefit this project will have on the
company.
Quality
Test and Inspection Planning
During the planning phase, the project manager and the project team decided that how to test
or inspect the product, deliverable, or services to meet stakeholders’ needs and expectations
as well as how to meet the goal for the DE performance and reliability. The test and
inspections are independent and for the purpose of testing device we will use inspection in
device configuration and the device performance after installation.
Quality standards
We will meet ISO standard for device that is 39001:2012 and we will insure the quality as per
ISO standards
Quality Criteria
Thus DE will decrease the ratio of accidents and it will secure driving and human lives.
IT manager will insure the inspection of DE before installation and as well as after
installation.
