Week 4 Blog

The student learned from their planning that their original idea was not interesting, so they changed it to better fit the genre. They decided to make one of the characters mysteriously disappear, leaving more unanswered questions. While writing their script, they further developed this idea. They feel their script is now of a high standard with convincing dialogue. They need to complete character profiles to stay on track for the week.

Week Four - Planning

PLANNING

What did you learn from your planning From my planning I learned that my idea wasn’t that interesting
this week? so I decided to change it so that it fits the genre a bit better. By
this I mean that the original ending I had was boring as the
questions were answered. Now I have made it so that one of
the characters disappears which not only leaves unanswered
questions, but it creates more unanswered questions which
makes the production more interesting to listen to.

What issues did you encounter and N/a

how did you overcome them?

How did you ensure that your

storyboards were completed to a high n/a
standard?

How has your planning Whilst I was writing up my script, I decided to change my idea
developed/changed during the as I thought it wasn’t that interesting because I thought that the
planning stage? ending wasn’t that mysterious, and it wouldn’t really add to the
genre as I want there to be unanswered questions. I decided It
to make it so that one of the characters mysteriously
disappears which I think is good as it leaves unanswered
questions for the audience and that adds to the genre.
Personally, I prefer this idea as like I said its more mysterious and
it means that the audience have a lot more to focus on and
think about. This was the only thing that I changed in my
planning.

How have you ensured your I personally think that my script is to a high standard as I have
script/shooting script is of a high made it 6 pages long and the dialogue for the characters is
detailed standard? convincing. This is quite good as it makes my production better
as the dialogue is more interesting to listen to when it is edited
together.

How well have you managed and I feel like managing crew was easy as I only needed two other
organised your cast and crew to be in people and myself, so three people acting in the production,
available when you need them? which means that I don’t need to worry about a lot of people
and from the what I know they will be available on the chosen
day which is helpful and makes life easier.

Are you on track for the week? If not, No, I need to do character profiles
how far behind are you?

What work do you need to complete Character profiles

outside of lessons to stay on track?
