Week 10 Blog

The student finished their production on time and received feedback. The feedback was mostly positive and noted some minor issues like poor line delivery in some scenes and a visible reflection in one scene. The student learned to be more careful about lighting, reflections and audio when filming scenes. While not a perfect professional production, the student's work compared favorably to professionals in some areas like costume, character and story style choices. The student still needs to complete their full evaluation and review feedback to ensure all work is finished on time.

WEEKLY JOURNALS

Week Ten – Final production

EDITING

Did you finish your production on Yes I finished my production on time I got it all edited
time? and uploaded last week so that all of this week I can
just focus on my work and get all of it completed and
done before the deadline.

How did you gain feedback? What I gained from the feedback was that my film for
Was this process effective/ the most part when down really well I managed to
valuable? make all of the effects look realistic and fit in well with
the film and that there was a really good variety of
location though out the film to show the different
places that the main character visits though out the
film.
I also need to reshot a few of the scenes where the
lines where delivered poorly or in one of the scenes
where you can see my reflection in the window beside
him in the phone call scene it is extremely off putting to
the so-posed focus on the main character in this
scene.
But over all most of the feedback was positive and
people enjoyed watching it which I nice to hear and
shows that even tho there was a few scenes missing I
wasn’t to effecting to the overall feel of the film.

What have you learned from your What I have learnt from my feedback is to make sure
feedback? that I check absolutely everything before I record
scenes to make sure there is no reflections and lighting
or audio problems in the location so that I don’t have
reshot or dew to time restraints this time completely
remove scenes from my film.

How did your work compare to My work compared to a professional production had a
professional productions? few similarities like the costume choose in the film was
the same and the style of character that I have
created in my film as Vince who is the main character
in my film is like a gangster that you would find in other
professional gangster production like a Martin scorjsse
film they all wear suits and has guns and that is what
my character Vince has in my production is like he
wears a suit and carry around a gun as well as the
character in the professional productions.

The story style that I went for was also in the Martin
scorjsse style because I find that he does the best
gangster films and the effects that you get off them
are really strong and you start to feel like you know the
characters in the film on a personal level which is what
I wanted from my film.
Have you completed your final I have complete my evaluation on my film with
evaluation? feedback from a survey and over all how I thought my
film turned out and how the pre production and the
editing and filming process went and if I all went
smoothly.

Are you on track this week? If not, I need to complete more of my evaluation to make
how far behind are you? sure that I can make my deadline on time I also need
to look though my feedback to complete any work on
there.

What work do you need to Look though my feedback and complete the work
complete outside of lessons to that is on there and I need to add to my final
stay on track? evaluation.

High Grade Tips

Evaluation & Reflection

● ‘reasoned decisions and inform the development of ideas’ – both your evaluation
and the weekly reflections above will clearly show both how and why your ideas
developed throughout the project
● ‘demonstrating clarity in thinking’ – all of the above plus very clear links between
your research, planning, idea development and the production of your poster and
film trailer
