WEEKLY JOURNALS
This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?
THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.
THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS
FORM FILLED IN FOR YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS. THERE SHOULD BE 11 WEEKLY BLOG ENTRIES (INCLUDING
EASTER).
Week Four - Planning
PLANNING
What did you learn from your planning I learnt what may be the most used platform amongst my
this week? target audience, what devices are used most, this will help me
where to decide to post my short film. I also learnt how to film a
good quality tracking shot.
What issues did you encounter and I struggled to understand what ‘style of film’ means when
how did you overcome them? researching directors, I soon understood and got through that
research on directors very quickly and at a good standard.
How did you ensure that your I have not yet completed my storyboard but I am on the way. I
storyboards were completed to a high think a high quality storyboard should be extremely detailed in
standard? the quantity of shots and the quality, when you draw the
picture it should be the exact angle you would want in that
particular shot.
How has your planning My storyline has changed the slightest but not that much, just
developed/changed during the small things such as when Danny wakes up with blood on his
planning stage? hands and hallucinates the dog walker behind him.
How have you ensured your I haven’t finished my script yet but I have included each scene
script/shooting script is of a high in different sections, the stage directions are very detailed and
detailed standard? would make sense to anyone who would read it.
How well have you managed and I will make a group chat with all of the actors and plan dates
organised your cast and crew to be in and times to film. By doing this it will keep my schedule
available when you need them? organised and prevent me from constantly rearranging my
production schedule.
Are you on track for the week? If not, I need to complete my storyboard and script.
how far behind are you?
What work do you need to complete My storyboard and script.
outside of lessons to stay on track?
