Medicinal plants ‘which form the first section contains a number of papers dealing with biomarkers both pharmacognostic and phytochemical, ona good number of medicinal plants a ‘well as many ethnobotanical surveys. Natural Dyes form the second section and it | covers the application of dyes from six plants such as Rohira, Katha, Ravenchi wood, Annatto, Babool, banana on various textiles. A novel method of utilizing micro. ‘encapsulated fragrances of Lavender, Rose, Musk, Lemon, Sandalwood, ‘ropical Paradise and Bouquet on various textiles is presented in another paper. In the third section on Biopesticides, papers on Biocontral agents, control of toxicogenic fungi by phytochemicals and antifungal activity of plant extracts are ineluded. In the seetion ‘on Biotertilizers papers on the utility of marine algae, blue greemalgae and Am fungi ~ areincluded. Inthe last section, Biofuels, theutilty ofbiogas aswell asa numberof now sources of fatty ils have been presented. ‘This book will serve as a reference book for students, teachers and workers of ‘Medicinal plants, Natural Dyes, Biopesticides, Biofertlisers and Biofuel. Phil ‘From University of Allahabad, Presently he is working as a Professor in Department of Botany’ and Coordinator of Seed Technology Programme in Department of Botany of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. He has published more than 100 research papers and Five books. His areas of research include Mycology, Fungal Physiology and Biodeterioration. Dr. Vinay M. Raole is Senior Lecturer in Department of Botany in The ‘Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. He obtained Ph.D. from M.S. University on Cytotaxonomy of rare and endangered plants and published four research articles. His areas of research interest are Biodiversity, Foristiesand Cytotaxonomy.
