 DRY HYDRANT SYSTEMS
Provides a non-pressurized water source from a
pond or lake • Used in rural areas where
pressurized water systems are not available or
are too small to support pressurized fire
hydrants • Also used to supplement pressurized
systems in municipal areas where low water
pressure exists or where backup systems are
desirable for emergency preparedness • Note:
