Significance of The Study

This study aims to understand consumer preferences for local and international makeup brands among female senior high school students in Tayug, Pangasinan. The study will benefit researchers, consumers, and manufacturing companies. For researchers, it provides information that could inform future business in the cosmetics industry. For consumers, it establishes factors for choosing between brands. And for manufacturers, it reveals opportunities to improve products based on consumer preferences. The scope is limited to describing preferences of Grade 12 female students at Tayug National High School during the 2019-2020 academic year.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Using and purchasing cosmetics product particularly make up were highly patronize by women
especially young ladies who wanted to look beautiful and fresh at all times.

The study will passively help the following people:

Researcher -this study will benefit the researcher because they can get information about cosmetics and
as a ABM students we should passively use this information in the future. Ifwe plan to formulate our
business in cosmetics.

Consumer- wherein this will serve as their basis on what will they purchase between the two brands and
know the reasons for purchasing the products.

Manufacturing Companies – such as this will serve as their call for improving products

Consumers Preference – defined as the subjective tastes of individual consumers, measured by their
satisfaction with those items after they’ve purchased them.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

This is descriptive in nature and focused on the Grade 12 Female Senior High School students in Tayug
National High School Tayug, Pangasinan. This study sought the preference of top local and international
make up brands of Female Grade 12 Senior High School Students in Tayug National High School for the
academic year 2019-2020.

This study sought to answer the profiling of the respondents with respect of their age and monthly
family income. The level of awareness of the respondents along the following areas; communication,
collaboration, creativeness and critical-mindedness was also determined.
