This lesson plan is for a 2 hour agricultural class focusing on preparing farm tools and implements. Students will identify and classify different tools according to their use and conduct an inventory. They will view pictures of tools and implements, then go to the tool room to observe them. Students will be divided into 6 groups to classify tools into digging, cutting, cultivating, harvesting, and carpentry tools. LEARNING COMPETENCIES

 Identify and classify tools, implements and simple equipment according to use;

 Conduct beginning inventory of tools, implements, and simple equipment

ELICIT MATERIALS

 Picture Presentation- the teacher will show pictures of


different farm tools and implements
 Tell the learners to go to the tool room to look for the  projector/tv
tools that they saw in the picture presentation.  speaker
 After 10 minutes have the learners to enumerate the  pictures
different tools they saw in the tool room.

ENGAGE

 Key questions
1. Ask the learners if there are farm owners among
them
2. Ask the learners who among them have a farmer
relatives
3. Ask the learners if some of them are already familiar
with the different farm tools and implements

EXPLORE

“CLASSIFICATION OF TOOLS”

Divide the class into six. Learners will do the activity 1


“Classification of Tools”.The leraners will write the different
tools under the classification that they will be assigned. ( LM
5-9).

Group 3- Cutting Tools


Group 4- Cultivating Tools

Group 5- Harvesting Tools

Group 6- Carpentry Tools

EXPLAIN

Each group will present the result of their activity. All Manila paper
members of each group will go to the front to discuss.

The teacher will take note of any misconceptions on the
student’s idea and correct it immediately.

Ask students to write all the benefits of the different farm Paper
