RENTAL DEPOSIT RECEIPT

In consideration of a $__________ deposit, the undersigned property owner hereby agrees to


hold apartment #_______located at _______________________________________________
for the undersigned tenants(s) who agree(s) to begin tenancy of the said apartment on
___________ (date), at a rental of $__________ per month, first month rent and Security
Deposit payable in advance on the said date.

In the event the prospective tenant does not take the said apartment, sign the lease, and pay
all charges by the said date, the deposit to hold the said apartment shall be forfeited to the
owner.

If the prospective tenant does take said apartment, then this deposit will be applied toward
the security deposit hereunder.

The security deposit of $_________ for this apartment will be returned to you minus any
deductions for damages, cleaning, etc., when you fulfill the provisions of your lease. It is
forfeited for failure to maintain occupancy for the entire term of the lease.
