Guitar Daily Practice Log

Warm Up : (20 mins.)

1. Ascending

 Do this starting on a slow Tempo 70bpm using the metronome.


 Be strict with the fingerings for the left hand and the alternate picking for the right hand.
 After finishing this up to the 1st string do the descending pattern on the example below.

2. Descending

 Start from the last note which is on the 1st string 4th fret using your fourth finger of your left
hand doing the descending pattern.
 Again! Be strict with your right and left hand
 Upon reaching the last note on the 1st fret of the 6th string with your 1st Finger. Move to the
second fret and do the same pattern ascending and descending up to the 12th fret.
Chord Shifting : (20 mins.)

Using the basic open chords, Start shifting using two chords first
1. E minor to A minor

 Use the TAB for chord reference.


 Maintain a nice and slow tempo that is comfortable for you and increasing your speed gradually
using the metronome.
 Follow the strumming patterns carefully.

Now using Three Chords.

2. A, D, and E

And for the last one, Using Four Chords

3. G, D, E minor & C
Strumming Exercises : (20 mins.)

After playing all the chord combinations above and your left hand shifting is already fluent and smooth.
It’s time to apply different strumming patterns on the chord patterns .

1. Quarters and Eight Notes

 Practice slowly with a metronome.


 Watch out for your right hand strumming pattern.

2. Quarter, Eights and Rests.

 Be sure to hold or mute the strings on the rest part.


 Remember that muting the strings is done with your right hand palm.
 Try to apply the Strumming Patterns on all the chords that you’ve learned, Always be patient
when practicing and enjoy what you are doing.

*Note: The time frame on each exercises may change depending on the progress of your playing.
