Steps To Find The MAC Address

This document provides steps to find the MAC address for several device types and operating systems. For Windows 10, the MAC address can be found under Network & Internet settings. For Windows 7/8, running ipconfig/all in the command prompt will display the MAC address. On Android and iOS devices, the MAC address can be found by navigating to settings and viewing about or network information. For Macbooks, the MAC address is under the advanced tab in network preferences.

Steps to find the MAC Address

1. Windows 10
a. Open Start Menu
b. Click on Windows Settings
c. Click on Network & Internet
d. Click on Wi-fi
e. Go to Hardware Properties
f. Physical Address(MAC) listed there is the Required wi-fi MAC Address.

2. Windows 7 ,8 or 8.1
a. Open Run( to open press window key + R)
b. Type cmd & click enter, command will open your command prompt.
c. In Command prompt, enter ipconfig/all
d. A list of available network adapters with their details will open.
e. Physical address of the wirless Adapter is the required wi-fi MAC address.

3. Android Devices
a. Open your mobile Settings.
b. Click on About Phone.
c. Click on status.
d. Wi-fi MAC Address listed there is the required wi-fi MAC Address.
Or
a. Open your mobile settings.
b. Click on Network & Internet or Wi-fi option.
c. Click on Wi-fi Preferences
d. Click on Advanced.
e. MAC Address listed there is the required wi-fi MAC Address.
4. IOS Devices
a. Open device settings.
b. Click on General.
c. Click on About
d. Wi-fi MAC Address is the required MAC Address.

5. Macbook
a. Click on wi-fi icon present at top.
b. Select Network Preferences.
c. Click on Wi-fi tab.
d. Click on Advanced tab.
e. MAC Address listed there is the required MAC Address.
