STRATEGY OF IMPLEMENTATION
BUCAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
As a school, Bucal National High School is comprehensive, wide-ranging learning
community. It has collaborative partnerships among and between teachers, parents
and students, monitored with efficacy and attuned based on best practices and
procedures. Project SIGGLA (Strengthen Initiative towards Good Governance Leading
to Achievements) is a special project created to uphold its dynamic and active
commitment of quality education and public service. It was designed to support school
improvement projects, continue the journey and revitalize school’s projects to better
serve the immediate clienteles – the Students.
PROJECT SIGGLA INVOLVEMENT PLAN
Under the Project SIGGLA, are various activities such as :
1. Project TURO (Teachers Utmost Responsiveness to Opportunities) wherein
the main objective is to develop the teachers’ professional competencies and
high spirit of commitment and dedication towards work. Teachers are
expected to have improved their competencies by participating in relevant
trainings/ seminars. It includes mentoring and peer teaching, wellness, focal
group discussion, class and peer observation. This is to ensure the
appropriate implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum in all learning areas and
STEM program. (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics)
Furthermore, master teachers are expected to have solved the problems with
regards to classroom-based instructions through conduct of action research.
Herein attained by participating in related seminars, workshop and meetings,
conducting of at least one action research in every learning area.
2. Project SIKAP (Student’s Initiative to Keen Academic Performance) where
students, with the help of parents and teachers are expected to have won
major awards, have improvements on their reading ability on poor readers
under the frustration level, should have decreased malnutrition cases and
improved academic performance. Annual output will be based on the Nat
result and performance rating of learners.
Different project supports the attainability of project SIKAP.
a. Project PRIME (Programmed Relevant Instructional Materials for
Enrichment) by monitoring the use of developed activities.
b. Development of Localization and Contextualization of the Curriculum
by preparation and integration of local resources in the teaching and
learning process.
c. Project REWRITE (revitalized writing) wherein improving the writing
skills of the learners by writing activities in language and literature
lessons.
d. Project EMEy (English Made Easy) where regular conduct of spelling
lessons using HORN method to achieve language literacy.
e. Project I-REAP (Intensive Reading Enhancement for Academic
f. Progress) and Project KISLAP (Kakayahang Itaas Sa Larangan ng
Pagbasa) where administering of Phil-IRI was used to determine
students reading problems to improve reading ability of poor readers
and intensive reading to strengthen reading skills in Filipino.
They do also conduct intervention activities for the least mastered
competencies students to improve student proficiency in standardized Dep.
Ed. Test. Participation in orientation seminars, involvement of student leaders
to various school programs to develop and empower responsible and
effective future leaders.
3. Project ABOT (Alliance towards Building Optimum Thrusts) objective is to
reach out the internal and external stakeholders and working hand in hand
that would help realize the objectives set upon their implementation. Such
are accomplished by providing financial and material assistance to indigent
students. The school also lead in the gift giving, Christmas party and
educational tours program for students. The implementation of such strategy
will lead to the development of camaraderie among students, discover and
explore the field for learning and generate funds for construction of school
building improvements
4. Project SIBOL (School Intensive Beautification and Over-all Landscaping) to
beautify and improve schools physical facilities and enhance students’
knowledge and skills to various learning areas. The project aims
rehabilitation and maintenance of landscaped plants to have conducive
teaching and learning environment.
5. Project PUSO (Provision of Unending Service with Optimism). Includes the
recognition of “Ulirang Magulang ng Taon” during recognition day, recognition
of stakeholders during stakeholder’s summit and conduct of Bigay Puso
which includes feeding program, outreach program, dalaw panambahan,
WinS (WASH - Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in School) Program.
Conducting feeding programs with involvement of indigent students, Adopt A
Community with giving of school supplies, grocery items and used clothing,
and attendance of students to church where they belong, information and
dissemination of the implementation of WinS program, mobilize improvement
of hand washing facilities to execute the Project PUSO.
6. Project SAGIP (School Active Grasp of Immediate Protection) aims to provide
guidance to School Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) team on
how to act before, during, and after disaster. Capacitate the School DRRM
coordinator to disasters and emergencies and facilitate immediate and
efficient information flow during disasters and emergencies. The need to
create a safe learning environment, immediate and efficient information flow
during disaster and calamities in the school. Purchasing of siren and fire
extinguishers for disaster preparedness.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION
The Project SIGGLA of Bucal National High School with project objective of
partnering with the internal and external stakeholders and working hand in
hand would help realizing the objectives set upon their implementation. The
school monitoring and evaluation system is composed of processes that will
provide the school head with a holistic picture of the status of the school’s
accomplishment and the status of the school’s progress with regard to the
implementation of the programs and projects listed in the SIP.
The Project SIGGLA were monitored and evaluated on a per program basis
on year round implementation. It is monthly activity spearheaded by the
school head which conducts team meeting with teaching and non-teaching
staff. Update on the implementation chart and status of activities, events and
outputs are completed. There is an outcome evaluation which includes the
annual review and past implementation review. Tracking of immediate result
that comes with learner tracking, project implementation, teacher-coaches
performance and utilization of resources. Then comes the progress
monitoring which comprises of the review quality of the school implementation
plan or annual implementation plan, process review of school implementation
plan start-up then status and progress updates. Preparation of monthly report
highlighting the physical accomplishment and budget utilization include
stories behind the accomplishment. There will also be a communication of
accomplishments to stakeholders.
With this, the school head is the main beneficiary of the data and information
gathered from undertaking the monitoring and evaluation process. It should
provide up to date and relevant information to make timely decisions or
adjustments in the implementation of SIP/AIP. The school head may
anticipate issues and risk before they become problem.
