This document outlines the admission procedure and merit calculation for M.Sc. (Computer Science) at Fergusson College. Students who have completed a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Pune University must enter their Computer Science marks from third year within 3 days of results being declared. For Pune University students, merit will be calculated based on entrance exam marks out of 50 plus converted university exam Computer Science marks out of 50. For non-Pune University students, only entrance exam marks out of 100 will be considered for merit calculation.

Admission

Admissions to M.Sc. (Computer Science) for the students


who have completed B.Sc. (Computer Science) o1'
University of Pune are based on marks scored in Entrance
Test and Marks scored in the Subject Computer Science
at SY/TY (out of 1200). All students' who have
appeared for Entrance Examination and are desirous
to take admission to M.Sc. (Computcr Science), should
enter the marks scored in Computcr Science (out of
1200) in their login after declaration of T.Y. B.Sc.
(C.S.) result within three days. The Iink for entering the
marks will be same as befbre used for filling up the
application form of Entrance examination.

Method of Calculation Ior Merit List of


M.Sc. (Computer Science)
. For the students from SPpU, the admissions to M.Sc. (Computer Science)
will be based on Entrance marks secured out of 50 and marks secureo n
University examination in Principal Subject Computer Science (S.y. + T.y.
out of 1200)

For the students from SPPU, the merit will be based on marks scored out of
100 calculated as follows:

Marks scored in Entrance Examination out of50 (A)

Marks scored in University Examination in principal Subject out of 1200 (say


B) converted to marks scored in University Examination in principal Subjeci
out of50 i.e. B/24.

Thus the merit list will be based on (A + B/24)

For the students from other universities (other than pune University) the
merit will be based on Entrance examination marks, secured out of 100 onlv.
