development of the project.

This has allowed us to successfully work with clients on challenging building

projects based in Germany, Europe, Asia and the Middle East for over 35 years.

Depending on the client's specific requirements, we either take charge of the

integrated architectural and engineering expertise or specifically selected
services. We are also increasingly integrating our services in Public Private
Partnership projects or investor projects as well as in projects with general

[email protected] Operating procedures, buildings and equipment, human resources, logistical
issues, optimisation of organisation and processes – all these factors have a
major impact on the quality of a company. In the field of healthcare services,
these aspects have a major impact on its three main elements of success: medi-
cal quality, economical quality and the quality of research and education. And
finally, there is also the aspect of how well a business will stand up in the mar-
ket and be capable of expanding or whether an institution will be able to fulfil
its functions in a cost-effective manner.
And it is these very issues that are taken up by HWP's experts in management
consultancy and operational planning when advising clients. We rise to the daily
challenge of developing visionary service models and mapping the future de-
mands health service providers will face. This is based on systematic analysis
and innovative process simulation, over 40 years of experience with challenging
projects at home and abroad as well as a unique combination of different skills
in our multidisciplinary teams with a core of medical doctors, health economists
and nursing management experts.

ful overall result.

We can call on software tools for project management which have been deve-

How can a high-tech magnetic resonance tomograph be incorporated in the existing
Eva Grimm X-ray department of a hospital? What devices and connections are needed in a
medical engineer surgery block to maximise the number of operations performed there? How can the
+49(0) 711-1662-240
flood of paperwork at an intensive care unit be stemmed? These examples
[email protected]
demonstrate that the planning of medical and laboratory technology involves more
than "just" fitting out rooms with equipment. Here it is a question of ensuring the
best possible use of the resources available for medical and scientific work. Science,
research and technology are coming up with new developments at lightning speed,
and it has never been so important to respond with flexible laboratory concepts. In
our view this also involves optimising the quality of the workplace for the staff
working here, particularly in laboratories subject to stringent safety standards.

At HWP the planning for medical and laboratory equipment takes place in close
multidisciplinary cooperation between our experts for operational and organisational
planning, doctors, medical staff, architects and engineers from our own company.
The use of sophisticated IT tools provides certainty in terms of planning, programme
and costs at an early stage in the project.
