BITUSHIELD

DESCRIPTION Water-based cold asphalt in paste. BITUSHIELD is a non-toxic product, not flammable nor dangerous.
It has a good resistance against saline solutions.

BITUSHIELD is suitable for waterproofing external surfaces of concrete structures and walls.
FIELD OF
APPLICATION

METHOD OF Mix with care before use and apply BITUSHIELD at a minimum room-temperature above + 5°C.
Concrete surfaces to be treated shall be as clean as possible.
INSTALLATION
BITUSHIELD is ready to use and can be applied by brush, broom or roller.
To improve the yield of the product, it is advised to apply two coats. Apply the second coat only after
the first one has perfectly dried out.
Average consumption varies from 0,8 to 1,2 Kg/sqm.
Thanks to its special additives, improving the adhesion on wet supports, the product can be applied
also on damp surfaces.
It usually dries within 8 hours from application at 25°C (drying time depends on the type of surface a nd
on the quantity of product used).
The dried film, if left uncovered, shall be protected with reflective paints (such as VERNICE
ALLUMINIO) or water-based decorative colored paints (such as ECO COLOR).
Keep away from frost: do not store the packing at a temperature below +5°C. Once frozen, the product
is no longer usable.

PACKING AND Metal packaging by 10 and 20 kg. The product should be kept in its packaging perfectly closed
STORAGE sheltered from frost and excessive heat.

DISPOSAL For more information regarding disposal of residual product and the contaminated containers, refer to
relevant Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
