In General
0. Over 14 years of experience in inspection field in the Oil-Gas
Refining, Petrochemical, Power Plant and Heavy Industrial sectors
1. Ensure that the quality plan is implemented and the activities
meet contractual requirements, applicable codes, specification and
standards.
2. Liaison with Company, Contractors, and Construction
supervision staff to ensure project quality objectives are attained.

3. Review of Contractor quality procedures including welding
procedure specifications.
4. Experienced in inspection of piping fabrication, installation,
welding and testing and walkthrough in compliance with applicable
ASME Codes and Project Specification.
5. Experienced in interpretation of radiograph, PWHT chart and
pressure test graph.
6. Extensive experience in inspection of field installation, leveling
and alignment of centrifugal/positive displacement pumps,
compressors, steam and gas turbines and blowers.
7. Experienced in inspection of steel structure installation and bolt
tightening.
8. To participate in Progress / Construction, Punch list and Quality
Control meetings.
9. Preparation of daily/weekly inspection reports, monitoring of
submission of inspection reports system wise to certification.
10. Take part in Quality Control audits and preparation of
finding/reports.
11. Well versed with international codes and standards such
as of ASTM, ASME and API and Client Specifications.
In Piping/ Welding Discipline
12. Witness / conduct Welder Qualification Test in plate and
pipes in accordance with Welding
Procedure Specification (WPS) / ASME IX, review performance test
certificate and monitor their continuity records.
13. Surveillance over storage, handling, fit-up and welding of
pipe spools in fabrication shop and at field to ensure compliance of
materials, dimensions and welding parameters (joint fit-up, welding
preheat and inter-pass temperature, welding consumables) to
applicable Drawings, WPS and project specification.
14. Inspection of installation of piping and piping components
with reference to isometric drawing, plot plan and P&ID. Verifying
valves, orifice, strainers for correct type, rating, installation and
direction.

15. Inspection of flanged connection for alignment, correct
gasket / bolt material and torque.
16. Monitor weld repairs to ensure its compliance with
approved repair procedure.
17. Review of test packs to ensure QCP/ITP compliance and
completion of welding and testing as required. Punching of
outstanding/non-conforming items.
18. Carry out walk down/line check prior to pressure testing of
piping circuit and punch the line as required. To verify the completed
punch list items and signing off.
19. Witnessing of Hydrostatic pressure test and Pneumatic
test of piping circuit test pack wise.
20. Witnessing of pre-commissioning activity for cleanliness,
drying, dew point verification and lay-up of piping system after
testing.
21. Conducting final walkthrough for piping system and
entering incomplete items is Mechanical performance and close out
system.
22.Issuing of violations (discrepancy report) or NCR, if non-
conformance with applicable specification/document found.
In Static Equipment Discipline
23.Inspection of static equipment's such as Columns, Drums, Heat
Exchangers, Reactors, Filters, Packaged skids fabrication,
Installation, Orientation, Alignment, Leveling, Verticality and Final
closure/ Box-up Inspection.
24. Inspection of internals such as internal trays, random/flexi
packing, demister, and distributors for material verification,
installation, leveling, alignment and bolt torque.
25. Inspection of Flare and Derrick structure for positioning,
alignment, Burner installation, bolt tightening check by torque and
direct tension indicator (DTI) method.
26. Inspection of field assembled and erected API Storage tanks for
material verification, installation, roundness, plumpness, and peaking,
banding, vacuum box testing of bottom plates, leak testing and final
closure.
