As you may be kindly aware, NHAI had taken up development of Delhi­

Vadodara Expressway; Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor & Ambala-Kotputli

National Corridor on Greenfield Alignment of about 1350km, 760km & 230km

respectively. The process of acquisition of land for these Greenfield Corridors is in

final stages and Civil Work Contracts have been either awarded or under process in

phase-wise manner. The construction on these Greenfield Corridors is expected to

commence in August/ Sept., 2 0 1 9 .

2. The alignments of these Greenfield Corridors pass through the States of

Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. While fixing the alignment, efforts had been

made to minimize the impact on existing habitations and physical infrastructure.

However, these could not be avoided at all locations and the alignments of these

Greenfield Corridors cross the existing Railway lines at 21 locations where Road

Over Bridges (ROBs) had been proposed. NHAl's Field Units/ Consultants are in

touch with concerned Division/Zonal Office of Railways for necessary approval of

GADs for the proposed RoBs. The list of 21 Railway crossings and the status of

approval of GADs for the proposed RoBs is enclosed with this letter.

3. In order to start the civil works under this flagship programme of the

Government (Bharatmala Programme) in August/Sept., 2019, approval of GADs of

21 RoBs need to be expedited by the Railways.

4. You would appreciate that approval of GADs of the RoBs normally takes 4 to

6 months, as these are being routinely done. However, considering that these

Greenfield Corridors being the projects of national importance, I request you to put

in place a mechanism for monitoring the approval of 21 GADs of RoBs by Sept.,

2019. Instructions may kindly be issued to your field formations directing them to

take up these works on top priority.

5. Your co-operation in expediting the approval of 21 GADs would go a long way

in construction of India's longest Greenfield Expressway Corridors and we solicit

the same.
