REGION 5 (BICOL)

The Bicol Region or Region V (also known as Bicolandia) is one of the 17 regions of the
Philippines. Bicol (also spelled Bikol) is composed of four provinces in the Bicol
Peninsula, the southeaster end of Luzon island, and two island-provinces adjacent to
the peninsula. Its regional center is Legaspi City in Albay province.

Albay (LEGASPI CITY)


Albay is a province located in the Bicol Region in southeastern Luzon of the Philippines.
Its capital is the City of Legazpi, the regional center of the whole Bicol Region, which is
located in the southern foothill of Mayon Volcano, the symbol most associated with the
province
