REGION 5 (BICOL)
The Bicol Region or Region V (also known as Bicolandia) is one of the 17 regions of the
Philippines. Bicol (also spelled Bikol) is composed of four provinces in the Bicol
Peninsula, the southeaster end of Luzon island, and two island-provinces adjacent to
the peninsula. Its regional center is Legaspi City in Albay province.

Cagsawa Ruins
The Cagsawa Ruins are the remnants of a 16th-century Franciscan church, the
Cagsawa church. It was originally built in the town of Cagsawa in 1587 but was burned
down and destroyed by Dutch pirates in 1636.
