Extension of Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners Family Security Fund Scheme-

ORDER:
The employees who had put in a service of not less than 10 years in
Government service and later permanently absorbed in State Public Sector
Undertakings/ Boards/ Local Bodies/ Universities/ Co-Operative Institutions/ Central
Public Sector Undertakings/ Central Autonomous Bodies, etc commuted full pension
at the time of their permanent absorption and 1/3rd of the commuted portion of
pension was restored to them after 15 years from the date of commutation, based on
the orders issued by Government of India.
2. The benefits of family pension, Dearness Allowance on full pension,
revision of pension based on Official Committee recommendation, Medical
Allowance and additional pension for those with 80 years of age and above were
extended to these absorbee pensioners from time to time in the Government orders
4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 9th read above respectively.

3. Various representations are received from this category of pensioners to
extend the welfare schemes, implemented to State Government pensioners viz.
Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners’ Health Fund Scheme and Tamil Nadu
Government Pensioners’ Family Security Fund Scheme, for the absorbee
pensioners also.
4. The Government after careful and sympathetic consideration has decided
to extend the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners’ Family Security Fund Scheme
applicable to State Government Pensioners, to the above said absorbee pensioners
also, as an optional Scheme.
5. These orders shall take effect from the date of issue of orders. Treasury
Officers/ Bank Managers of Public Sector banks are directed to obtain the
willingness from the absorbee pensioners for enrolment under the scheme and the
monthly subscription of Rs.70/- shall be effected from the month of February, 2013
onwards. Necessary entries regarding the option exercised by the absorbee
pensioners and recovery made shall be made in the Disburser’s half and pensioner’s
half of the Pension Payment Order.
6. Pension Pay Officer/ District Treasury Officers/ Sub Treasury Officers and
Branch Managers of all Public Sector Banks are requested to display this order in
the Notice Board of their Office and ensure that this order reaches all absorbee
Pensioners drawing pension through their Office.
7. There shall be no change in the existing rules and regulations governing
the sanction of assistance under the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioners’ Family
Security Fund Scheme.
