TIRUCHIRAPALLI
PROJECT TYPE : LIVE
INTRODUCTION
Tiruchirappalli, also called Trichy, is a major tier II city in the Indian state of Tamil
Nadu and the administrative headquarters of Tiruchirappalli District. Trichy is the
fourth largest city as well as the fourth largest urban agglomeration in the state.
Located 322 kilometres south of Chennai and 374 kilometres north Kanyakumari,
Tiruchirappalli sits almost at the geographic centre of the state. Occupying 167.23
square kilometres, the city was home to 986,857 people in 2017.
A Commercial complex is one or more buildings forming a complex of shop
representing merchandisers, with interconnecting walkways enabling visitors to
easily walk from unit to unit, along with a parking area - a modern, indoor version of
the traditional marketplace. Now people like each and every facility under one roof,
they dont have time to walk around in the city for some specific thing to specific
area. That is why commercial complex came to existence as they provide more
comfort less chaos and a covered area to spend time leisurely.

3.ECO LUXURY RESORT,GOA
PROJECT TYPE : HYPOTHETICAL
INTRODUCTION
• Architecture is all about varied ideas of design
and spaces, and coming to resorts it’s all about
cottages, water bodies, pleasant environment,
playful and adventure.
• A resort is a place where visitors spend their
leisure and holidays from their lactic and
mechanical life style
• Goa state with over 106km long coast line
dotted with pure, almost pristine beaches and
resplendent mountains is much sort of
destination.
• Therefore rather than 5 star hotels timeshare
resorts cater mainly to tourists, families or
individuals on holiday rather than business or
educationally - inclined tourists.
24
MOHAMED HASHIR
FR
NEED OF THE PROJECT
• With the undisturbed natural environment becoming
more and more scarce, it is increasingly essential to
design buildings so that they are in harmony with the
environment to ensure that the beauty of nature may
still be enjoyed by all.
• A return to embracing nature as an architectural
driver is imperative in order to bring back a coherent
understanding and compatibility between man and
his surroundings that cannot be achieved with each
as opposing elements
• Designing in harmony with the environment leaves
the land relatively untouched and offers a visual
connection to the landscape
• Resorts are the places where people retreat to
release the stress of their everyday life and to be at
one with nature, and thus, should be designed to be
in harmony with its environment.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
• If we analyze the present trend of internal
resort tourism and need of leisure place, then
it is acceptable to have multi functional
resort, which not only focus on overnight stay
but also concern in day services too.
• To design variety of staying facilities to
accommodate people on their vacation.
• To provide hospitality for both domestic and
foreigner tourists.
• Respond to climatic and energy consumption
issues raised by present day architecture
through sustainable design
