Exemplary Ai Lesson-Simile

This lesson plan teaches 2nd grade students about similes through reading books containing examples, creating their own similes, and making collage artworks representing themselves using materials that relate to their similes. Over several days, students first learn about similes and metaphors, identify examples, and create their own similes. They then read books with similes and discuss the author's choices. Students write their own simile descriptions and choose materials for a collage self-portrait representing those similes. Formative and summative assessments evaluate students' understanding of similes and the quality of their collage projects.
