Spot Report Re Stabbing Incident

The memorandum reports on a stabbing incident that occurred at a wake in Barangay Madayegdeg, La Union. Victim Gerald Tabac was stabbed twice in the abdomen by suspect Marlon Cuison during a card game. According to a witness, the two men had a heated argument while playing cards that escalated when Tabac allegedly slapped Cuison, who then stabbed Tabac with an unidentified bladed weapon. Tabac was brought to the hospital for treatment while Cuison fled the scene with the weapon. An investigation is ongoing into the incident.

SUBJECT : Incident Report re Stabbing Incident

DATE : November 13, 2019

1. At about 11:20 PM of November 12, 2019, personnel of this office


responded to a reported stabbing incident transpired at the wake of Dolores Abusejo
located at Purok 1, Barangay Madayegdeg this City with grid coordinate MGRS 51QTU
13609 37626, lat. 16.603639, long. 120.315857, wherein victim identified as Gerald
Tabac y Campos, 42 years old, married, ex-barangay Captain, and resident of
Barangay Madayegdeg this City. Suspect identified as Marlon Cuison, legal age, a
native of Barangay Pallas, Bimmaley, Pangasinan, and presently residing at Purok 6,
Barangay Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union

2. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:30 PM of


November 12, 2019, both involved having a card game (lucky 9) at said place, when
heated argument made between them, allegation of victim that he was sitting at said
place, and with no apparent reason, suspect went near to the victim then stabbed two
times at his abdomen, right side portion. Upon interview at the place of incident,
according to the witness identified as Jayson Cuison y Fernandez, 35 years old,
single, and resident of Barangay Catbangen, this City, that both involved playing a card,
when heated argument made between them, then victim uttered words in Ilocano
dialect; “tumalna ka dita hanka makibibiang, kayat mo ta sipaten ka dita’’, suspect
replied and say “’padasem a no kayam”’ then victim stand up then went near to the
suspect then allegedly slapped the face of the suspect, after that, suspect get an
unidentified bladed weapon at his back then stabbed two times the victim at his
abdomen.

3. As a result of the incident, victim sustained two stabbed wounds at his


abdomen, right side portion, then brought to Ilocos Training Regional Medical Center
(ITRMC) Hospital for medication. Suspect fled away after the incident, bringing along
