Unit 3 - Projectile Motion

This lesson plan addresses projectile motion for an honors physics class. Students will learn to determine the x and y components of a projectile's motion using vector addition and analyze the independence of horizontal and vertical motion. They will apply kinematic equations to evaluate position, velocity, and acceleration at any point in a projectile's trajectory. Learning will occur through lecture, demonstrations, practice problems, and laboratory activities measuring projectile motion launched horizontally and at angles. Students will be assessed through lab reports, tests, and applying the concepts in future units.
