Skills # 1 A dressing is applied to a wound to promote healing and prevent further harm. A
dressing is designed to be in direct contact with the wound.
A bandage, on the other hand, is classified as something used to hold a dressing
in place.

non-woven fibres of cotton are recommended.

-Both should be used. We can apply dressing to the wound on her head
and then put a bandage around the head to bind the wound and another
bandage for the fracture on her shoulder to protect the injured part.
