Titanic's Tragic Iceberg Collision

The Titanic struck an iceberg while sailing in the North Atlantic. Though the ship turned sharply after the alarm was raised, it still suffered damage below the waterline. The captain realized with horror that the ship was sinking rapidly after a weak sound was heard from the hull. While the order was given to abandon ship, hundreds plunged into the icy waters since there were not enough lifeboats for all aboard, resulting in 1500 lives lost.

When the Titanic was sailing in the North Atlantic, an iceberg was
seen by a lookout. After the alarm had been given, the ship turned
sharply sailing alongside the iceberg. Still a weak shaking sound was
heard from below, so the captain went down to see what had happened
finding that the ship was sinking quickly. When the order to abandon
ship was given, everyone jumped overboard, but 1500 people were
drowned because there were not enough lifeboats for everyone.

Seeing a huge iceberg, Titanic has given alarm and turned

sharply to avoid a direct collision. In time, the Titanic turned
narrowly missing the immense wall of ice. After hearing a
faint sound from below, the captain realized to his horror
that five of her compartments were sinking rapidly and the
order to abandon ship was given. Hundreds of people
plunged into the icy water, and 1500 lost their lives as there
were no enough life-boats for everybody.
