INTRODUCTION
The sustainability has been a big problem especially in the outskirt regions of the country. It is also a big dilemma in areas
which development is slow and scarcity often takes place the constituents have to make amends to make ends meet in order to survive
even on a day to day basis of existence. In order to resolve this type of problem, certain interventions had been set but the problem on
implementing guidelines has been flawed on how it should be executed.
An institution is well known for the basic foundation of skills and learning and it is the ideal location for the project “Gulayan
sa Paaralan” to be implemented. It will not only benefit the children regarding sustainability but it would manifest a sudden realization of
how important vegetables and their source of nutrition affect healthy lifestyle.
Most of the time, school have neglected such ideas where vegetation does not turn idle portions in somewhat a green pasture
of vegetation that would not only turn the school into a refreshing scenery but also said, the realization of the student on the effect of
having healthy dietary intake on keeping the body healthy.
If the project “ Gulayan sa Paaralan” is fully implemented it would not only benefit the school but also students who are
currently in the School Feeding Program and also the community. Since the project aims for its sustainability, various ways of planting,
landscaping and designing for the gulayan has taken effect which would help motivate not only the stakeholders but also the schools
aesthetic.
As a project which aims for sustainability, “Gulayan sa Paaralan” is a multi-beneficial project of the school which aims to help
student develop populace in terms of nutritional benefits not to mention the monetary consideration. This would bring a community wide-
benefit for all.
