Tool Requirements
The following listed tools are required to perform work as an General Aircraft
Mechanic. Failure to have the minimum tools required will prevent you from
reporting to work.
½” Drive 12 Point Socket Set: ½” through 1 ¼” (shallow & deep)
1 set of Allen Wrenches
1 each ½” Drive Ratchet
1 each ¼”, ½”, 3/8” drive extensions
1 each plastic or rubber tip hammer/dead blow hammer
1 each Apex adapter (hex)
2 each punches – 5/32” and ¼”
1 each safety wire pliers
1 each Ford wrench
1 each 6” steel rule
1 each 12’ tape measure
1 each offset common screwdriver
1 each Phillips offset
1 each Cotter Pin Puller
1 set feeler gauges
Files – flat & round

1 set combination wrenches – 5/32” through 1 1/8”
Open ended wrenches (1/4” x 5/16”) (3/8” x 7/16”) (1/2” x 9/16”)
3 each slotted screw drivers
2 each Phillips scre driver -- #2 & #3
1 each ¼” ratchet
1 each ball peen hammer – 10 or 12 oz
1 each channel lock pliers – 6”
1 each needle nose pliers – 6”
1 each side cutters – 6”
1 each speed handle – 3/8”
1 each flashlight
1 each 12” adjustable wrench
