1. What are the different problems have you identified upon reading the conditions of the
children in Sitio Mabolon?
2. What are the conditions of the community and its people as reflected in the situations of
Nene and Tito?
3. If you are a health worker in the center, what steps can you propose in response to the
concerns you have enumerated?
4. What project regarding awareness can you propose if Sitio Mabolon is your assigned
community?
Answer:
1. Sitio Mabolon does have limited access in the government welfare services. The community
experiencing problems in severe malnutrition. It was found that there are 22 children with marasmus
and kwashiorkor – two nutrient deficiency diseases. Apart from malnutrition, some children are
suffering from bronchial pneumonia, gastrointestinal problems and diarrhea.
2. The condition of the community is severe where they have limited access for them to address the
health care problems of the community. Hence, poverty hampers their condition.
3. If I am a health worker ill provide weekly medical mission for community to address their problem.
Also ill propose to the national government the case experiencing the community of the Sitio
Mabolon to provide such solution on welfare services.

The project will be composed of two parts, a seminar and a feeding program. The
seminar will teach the families on the healthy lifestyle and healthcare information to avoid
malnutrition. Thus, on the second part there will be a feeding program for the participant.
The program looks forward in spreading awareness about the proper lifestyle and
healthcare for the community.
