B. Reason
A new compressor scroll assembly has been released. The new scroll is identical to the current
one except that the flow fences have been eliminated. Elimination of the flow fences results in
higher efficiency without an adverse affect upon either the surge margin or the side to side flow
split.
C. Description
This bulletin provides instructions for replacing Compressor Scroll Assembly P/N 23053990 with
Compressor Scroll Assembly P/N 23064577.

2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. Replace the Compressor Scroll Assembly P/N 23053990 with P/N 23064577 as follows: (Refer
to the applicable Operation and Maintenance Manual referenced above for removal and
installation.)
(1) Remove Compressor Scroll Assembly P/N 23053990.
(2) Install Compressor Scroll Assembly P/N 23064577.
NOTE: Compressor Scroll Assembly P/N 23053990 can be reworked into P/N 23064577
Compressor Scroll Assembly but it must be sent to a Rolls-Royce Allison
Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) for rework.
