Historical Background
Sbeïtla, a town with an ancient heritage, was very briefly held by the Axis forces int the battle of Tunisia. On 21
November, an armored German column cleared the way for an Italian security detachment to occupy Kairouan, east of 9 x1
the mountains, and next day broke through one of the passes and drove a weaker French garrison out of Sbeïtla. After
this German force had started back to Tunis, leaving an Italian group in possession of Sbeïtla, a detachment of Colonel
Raff's 509th Parachute Regiment suddenly attacked at midday and turned the tables. They expelled the Italians and a 10 x1
stronger French force took up the defense of Sbeïtla. The Axis made one unsuccessful attempt on 24 November to
regain Sbeïtla but thereafter accepted the fact that they lacked the means.

Allied Player [United States/France] United States Army:
Take 5 Command Cards Overwhelming Fire Support - When US artillery is not in

The 4 enter-able town hexes of Sbeïtla is a Temporary Cards into his hand to replace the discarded ones.
Majority Control Victory Medal for the both Axis and the
Allied players. The Italians thus start with a medal.

Special Rules
Apply Specialized Infantry rules to the American 509th
Parachute Regiment units [Troops 2].
Apply Italian Royal Army Command rules [Nations 6].
Apply French Army rules to the French units [Nations 7].
The town hex marked with the Battle Star Token
represents the ancient ruins at Sbeïtla. It is
un-enterable to both players and blocks line of sight.
