Here is a redesign of the McDonald's logo that reflects its impact on culture and society: The redesigned logo features a golden arch shape that has been warped and distorted. The arch is no longer perfectly symmetrical but rather appears lopsided and uneven. The color of the arch has also been altered - instead of the signature golden yellow, it is now various shades of red and orange to represent the unhealthiness of the food. Inside the warped arch, the word "McDonald's" has been replaced by a more ominous all-caps "OBESITY" in a bold black font. By distorting and warping the iconic golden arch shape through asymmetrical lines and uneven forms, this redesign visually conveys

Small Group Brainstorming Activity
Marketing and advertising consultants make millions of dollars a year studying what
consumers want and figuring out the best way to target them with their products. They use the
power of visual imagery to establish connections in consumers brains to their products.
Whenever a consumer sees a logo, their brain instantly establishes connections to certain
emotions associated with color and other formal qualities, as well as certain products that that
corporation sells or markets. The design of the logo or product packaging can change the way
we think about some products.
With your small group partners, please select 3 logos from your logo recognition quiz and
brainstorm answers for the following questions.
Which logos did you select?

What products do you associate with these logos?

Do you use these products? In what ways do they help or harm you?

What about the logos design influenced you into chosing that logo?

Have you heard of any social issues surrounging the production, influence, or impact of these
productis or the corporation that these logos represent?
