Title of Essay: Some people suggest that creativity should be taught at school

while others claim that it is not as important as the fundamental subjects


offered by School system. Discuss

Teaching creativity is certainly something which is often discussed in today’s world. It is


highly debatable whether it should be taught at school or other considerations such as
fundamental subjects are more important to be learnt by school system. As far as I am
concerned, I am for discussing the arguments before reaching the conclusion.

Initially, in spite of the fact that the direct duty of schools is not to enhance creativity in the
child, they can play a big role in it, since if school system do not help children to improve
their abilities, then who? Furthermore, modern schools fail to meet the level of appropriate
education, so that they should combine other purposes and help students with a view to
developing different skills, the most important of which is creativity.

In addition, from the point of view of the individual, nowadays world is structured in such a
way that theoretical materials are not needed anymore and preference is given to creative
thinking. To say it in other words, creativity can play a key role in young people career and
can be used throughout the world, while fundamental subjects can only be used in specific
cases. For example, there may be a student with good marks but there is no guarantee of
being successful,whilst student with high creativity has more chances to have desirable life.

On the other hand, regardless of the fact that creativity can play major role in people’s
lives,fundamental subjects can create the main nucleus of education with the aim of making
it easier to study at university. Moreover, the university is still considered as the vital source
for learning, therefore school subjects are necessary to enroll in a university.

Taking all the points into consideration, there are those who can believe that learning
fundamental subjects is more important compared to learning creativity but the vast majority
would disagree with that statements.
