Class Table:

1. Class table is a page that indicates the tutor’s working hours, the student’s name,
and the tutoring tools.
All our students choose to book your class based on your profile (self-introduction, voice
recording, personal certificates, interests, etc. ) at the beginning. Please make sure you
have finished all tutor's information before we start to schedule your class table.
You should not disclose/discuss your schedule or available time to/with your
students. If they have such questions, please always refer them to CS.

2. Policy on adding and cutting class time

Requirements for adding working time:

1) With more than 90% booking rate and two consecutive weeks of full attendance of the schedule;
2) Some students are requesting your classes in your additional time;

Conditions for cutting working time:

1) When you have less than 80% booking rate in a week, your schedule for the next week will
be cut down.
2) If you received more than two complaints within two weeks, your schedule for the next
week will be cut down.
3) If you have tutor's cancellations in the current week, your schedule for the following week
may be cut down/locked at your DS's discretion.
4) Top tutors and tutors that have trial classes. If cancellation of trials occurred more
than twice within 15 days, the number of trial classes will be reduced in the following
week, and the enrollment bonus may be decreased.
Remarks:
It is a MUST for you to fill in your comments for your student after the class.

1. ONLY classes with a filled remark will be included as part of your salary payment.
Updated: From August 23, 2019.

All remarks have to be completed immediately after ending the class.

In case of force majeure factors, tutor should provide sufficient evidences to your DS or the on duty
TMs.

Kindly remind that remark has to be fully completed within 24 hours, otherwise you may not be paid
for that class, as there is no more chance to revise or retake the remark after 24 hours .
2. ONLY one remark is needed if one set of material is used (Even if you have two consecutive
classes with the same student, the number of remarks needed depends on the number of material
you used)
3. You have to click on either “Leave Class Remarks” or “Submit Later” within 30 minutes after your
class time to make sure you can leave a proper remark for the class you have attended.
4. If a class is not attended (e.g. student is absent), no remark is needed. All you have to do is to
click on “CS assistance.”

your appraisal period.

You may receive a warning letter for reasons such as but not limited to:

3 complaints for a continuous of 30 days
More than 5 complaints within 3 months
Less than 70% booking rate (more than 30% wasting rate) for two consecutive weeks
Disclosure of confidential information, such as schedule/salary
And, 3 warning letters=termination of employment.

4. Tutor's Nationality

Students are usually curious about tutor’s nationality and where they are from. To avoid
discrimination based on nationality and to build an environment that only focuses on tutor’s
teaching abilities, Acadsoc strongly recommends that every tutor uses the below answers when a
student asks where you are from.
Student: Where are you from? / What's your nationality?
Tutor: Sorry, I am not allowed to disclose my nationality, because it is a code in
Acadsoc that tutors should be judged by their teaching abilities, but not nationalities, as
there were cases where our teachers were discriminated and insulted by a student
because of her nationality. All I can confirm with you is that I am currently working in a
London/ New York based company.

5. Booking rate
If you did not get an 80% booking rate of the week, your number of working hours may
be decreased for the next week at your DS's discretion.
If you did not get more than 70% booking rate for two weeks, you may receive a
warning letter.
