 Did a bachelor in Business Technology Management with a minor in finance Got
certified in CISSP, CEH, CPT, OSCP Any more and you're likely wasting money.

I would recommend for someone interested in the field to Do a bachelors in

something related to cyber security. There are a bunch of programs out there
now. In Ontario, Canada there's Yorks Computer Security, and UOITs Network
security programs. Any bachelor related to computers is fine Also get certs in
CIISP for sure, anything else just makes you look more professional to employers
who likely have no idea what to look for in Cyber Security professionals.

personal information is secured by remaining non digital. I have never once
actually entered in anything extremely important online such as SSN or credit
card numbers. If you're making online purchases from smaller vendors such as
Wish (Which allows all the small Chinese businesses with likely bad security) Use
paypal rather than your credit card. In general the safest way to protect your info

 Worst but most self fulfilling case I worked on was Operation Rescue a project
coined by Europol. Huge child sex ring. They were abusing and hurting these kids,
as well as raping them. Going through their data, and talking to them about what
they did with them as if I was one of them. It all made me sick, having to see CP in
order to find evidence is a horrific thing. This ring has anywhere from 60-100
thousand members. You know how they say former military members have
flashbacks of combat? I get nightmares about this case all the time. But at the end
of the day, some kids will have the chance to grow up. Having a strong sense of
morality is necessary for keeping your sanity.

 I have a desktop at home running Linux. Can you tell me how to set up an ssh server
so I can access my home computer from let's say school, or at a library. Also what
are your wifi setting?

 RobHossBoss 9 points · 3 years ago · edited 3 years ago

 You'll have to port forward your router so that your home network is reachable
from the public internet. This means getting around opening ports in your home
NAT which is not advised unless you know what you're doing.

The safer option is to rent out a virtual private server and create a reverse SSH
tunnel to your home desktop through your private server.

Check out Digital Ocean for a cheap $5/Mo VPS (PM me for referral code) And this
GitHub repo for an easy reverse SSH script.

edit: see comments below. I seem to have used some terms loosely/incorrectly.
This still serves as a general "getting started" guide. You should have enough
material to Google your way through the rest.

 I read an article about pedophiles and how they distribute the underage
pornography. Usually they host the website in the deep web and require user to use
tor browser to visit, by using tor browser and disable JavaScript make it very hard to
trace. My question is this really the case? Or it is still traceable by the authorities

 [deleted] 1 point · 3 years ago

 Yes, most, if not all are stored on the deepweb. One of the key ways to trace is to
get in on it, pretend to be a fellow creeper and from there you look for mistakes.
No system is 100% untraceable. You just have to look hard enough.

 nmagod 3 points · 3 years ago

 What do you think of the "but if pedophiles have a way to harmlessly fulfill those
urges online, they won't do it in real life" argument? I'm honestly curious.

 [deleted] 1 point · 3 years ago

 Well, As someone who has taken classes in Psychology , There was a study about
inmates who were shown porn, with the hopes it would calm their sexual desires.
The pornography actually intensified these desires and more sexual and non-
sexual violence occurred in jail for the time while they were shown porn.
