IV. Status:
This project is new and must be reviewed thoroughly within the purok
council of the barangay and the local government unit.
V. Beneficiary
All the constituents will benefit the said project. It will not only cater the
need of those within the area 7 but also the other surrounding area of the said of
the said place. It is a fact that lack of education on modern medicine leads to the
people’s use of natural medicine without knowing its side effects. So this project
proposal could be a tool in changing the people’s perception on medicine.
VI. Background
The common health problems will be easily counteracted because of the
easy access to this establishment .
VII. Justification
This project proposal must be prioritized by the barangay officials to cater
the needs of their constituents. It is indeed a great help for the people. This is one
way for them to easily access all the programs implemented by the barangay.
Unfortunately, some of the resources are lacking, one of those is the botika ng
barangay which would contribute a great help to the people. It is universally
accepted that having good health contributes to a great wealth, so therefore this
project must not only benefit the people and their family but the community as a
whole.
VIII. Objectives
If approved, this project will be able to:
1. Promote health and wellness among the people in the community.
2. Provide easy access in response to health problems during emergency
cases.
3. Let the people maximize and make use the facilities offered by the
pharmacy.
4. One way of income generating project.
IX. Description
This project is a joint venture between the local government unit and the
barangay council as well as the purok as a whole. The barangay council must be
able to counterpart and appropriate a certain percent of budget that would sustain
the quality and the efficiency of the facilities. The local government unit headed
by the municipal mayor must find a way to support the said program in any form.
And the Purok core group to be organize/re organize must also give a seed capital
of 100 to 200 pesos each that will serve as their membership fee. The official
members will be the one to benefit the profit and they may use it to sustain the
said project. Furthermore the profits will not only be used to sustain but could
also be use for emergency purposes among the constituents of the barangay. The
barangay health worker, the chairman on health, women, and education, together
with the barangay treasurer spearheaded by the barangay captain will be the ones
responsible in managing consolidating and allocating the funds.
Upon the construction of the said project the barangay council should take
into consideration in consulting the municipal engineer, in this way it could be a
great help for them to have a blue print on the kind of establishment they will
construct.
Moreover, the City health office must train an operator to manage the said
program.

XIII. Monitoring and Evaluation Scheme:
The BNB must be monitored by the core group officers daily during its first month and
by week on the second and monthly on the 3 rd month and then quarterly on the preceding
months. The sales must be counterchecked from time to time to avoid discrepancies and
possible loses. Receipts must be always be keep by the person in charge on that day. The
core group officers in order to evaluate the progress of the project must include on their
monthly session all the concerns that must be improved and maintain. It is also important that
people must give their all-out support to preserve integrity and feasibility.
XIV. Summary
The said project proposal is entitled, “Botika ng Barangay” which will be located
within the vicinity of area 7. This project proposal aims to promote health and wellness
among the people in the community, to provide easy access in response to health
problems during emergency cases and to let the people maximize and make use of the
facilities offered by the pharmacy. It is to benefit all the constituents of the barangay
especially when it comes to health problems during emergency cases as well as to
educate the people in terms of taking the right medicine and not just relying on herbal
remedies. This project is new and must be reviewed thoroughly within the council of the
barangay and the local government unit as the purok residents. This project will be
manned by the BNB trained operator and must supervised and monitored by the core
group officials. This project proposal will cost P 141,500.
