Reduction Zone/Reactor-I gasket was replaced in July 2015 with new Kammprofile
gasket and a weather shield was provided at the flange joint. The joint previously had
developed leak on two instances due to gasket failure. Keeping in view of criticality &
long term reliability of the joint and forthcoming T&I of the unit in 2018, a new gasket
of M/s Flexitalic gasket is recommended to be kept as spare. The usage of Flexitallic
thermiculite 845 Flexpro (Kamprofile style ZA) or equal is specified by M/s UOP. The
similar gasket of Flexitalic make has been procured at MR also. Refer Item No. 107,
Drawing No. PPPV-2299-01-A-000.

Zone flange joint.
