Web based email

Advantages Disadvantages
You can access it from any computer in Web-based email usually limits the
the world that has an Internet amount of email messages you can store
connection on the server

No special email client software is

necessary to install
Software as a Service (SaaS)

 SaaS is an alternative way in accessing software

instead of traditional way

 SaaS refers to a subscription based model where the

software is hosted in the cloud and accessed via the
internet.

Traditional Software Software as a Service

Users need to purchase the software Monthly basis subscription, no

and install onto their computer with upfront payment
high price
Licenses maybe limited to numbers of Users may end their subscription at
users any time
The software is always updated

Does not required storage space in

computer because it stores in cloud
Software as a Service (SaaS)

Benefits of SaaS
No hardware cost No initial cost setup
- Processing power is supplied by the cloud - Applications are ready to use once the user
provider subscribes
Pay For What You Use Usage is Scalable
- Particularly beneficial when something is - Additional storage or services can be
