System Software
System software is a type of computer program that is
designed to run a computer’s hardware and
application programs.
If we think of the computer system as a layered model,
the system software is the interface between the hardware
and user applications. The operating system (OS) is the
best-known example of system software. The OS manages all the other programs in a computer.
Application Software
Application software is a term which is used
for software created for a specific purpose. It is
generally a program or collection of programs used by
end users. It can be called an application or simply
an app.
In fact all the software other than system software and programming software are
application software.
A software which is developed to help the user to perform specific tasks is called
application software.
Application Program
An application program is a comprehensive, self-contained program that performs a particular function
directly for the user. Among many others, application programs include:
Email
Email, short for "electronic mail," is one of the most
widely used features of the Internet, along with the web. It allows
you to send and receive messages to and from anyone with an
email address, anywhere in the world.
Web browsers
A web browser is a software program that allows a user to
locate, access, and display web pages. In common usage,
a web browser is usually shortened to "browser." Browsers
are used primarily for displaying and accessing websites on
the internet, as well as other content created using languages
such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Extensible
Markup Language (XML).
Browsers translate web pages and websites delivered using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) into
human-readable content. They also have the ability to display other protocols and prefixes, such as secure
HTTP (HTTPS), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), email handling (mailto:), and files (file:). In addition, most
browsers also support external plug-ins required to display active content, such as in-page video, audio and
game content

Word Processor
Sometimes abbreviated as WP, a word processor is a
softwareprogram capable of creating, storing, and printing
typed documents. Today, the word processor is one of the most
frequently used software programs on a computer, with
Microsoft Word being the most popular word processor.
Enterprise software
Enterprise software is an over-arching term for any software
used in large organizations (whether business or government).
It is considered to be an essential part of a computer-based
information system, and it provides business-oriented tools such
as online payment processing and automated billing systems.
Accounting software
Accounting software is a type of computer software used by
accounting professionals to manage accounts and perform
accounting operations.
Accounting is the systematic practice, work or process of
communicating and recording financial information. In a
business setting, this is done for the purposes of internal and
external audits, required reports and financial analysis to meet legal or internal managerial requirements.
Accounting may also include systematic and diverse measurement, classification, verification, summation
and interpretation of financial information.
Graphics software
Software that allows a computer to show images, such as video images,
on its screen a powerful graphic software for digital photo editing and
images processing
Media players
Software that "plays" audio, video or animation files in the computer. In the
Windows world, Windows Media Player is the default player from
Microsoft, but iTunes, RealPlayer and other software are also widely used.
The media player in early Windows (3.x) versions was called simply
"Media Player." iTunes and QuickTime Player are the default products for
the Mac.
Database management
Data management is the practice of organizing and maintaining
data processes to meet ongoing information lifecycle needs.
Emphasis on data management began with the electronics era
of data processing, but data management methods have roots in
accounting, statistics, logistical planning and other disciplines
that predate the emergence of corporate computing in the
mid-20th century.
Because every program has a particular application for the end user, the term "application" is used. For
instance, a word processor can help the user create an article, whereas a game application can be used for
entertainment.
An application program is also known as an application or application software.
